#4 Gallinipper

This is a good old Kentucky tune from the playing of Jp Fraley that goes back generations in his family. I am playing it here on a downtuned banjo tuned to it's open G equivalent.

Nuts and bolts of this blog

I am not looking to present these old tunes in radical new ways. In most cases my source is fiddle music and there is a balance between hitting notes and getting drive on the banjo. This is about presenting simple versions of simple tunes.

You will find a lot of the source material is out of pitch. Pitch ain't what it was 90 years ago. My versions however are mostly on 440 pitch as is standard today. Let my versions and the source material be a jumping off point for you- that is why i won't be making tab available.
